As an educator Ken strives to create an environment which utilizes a broad spectrum of methodologies to bring out the potential in each student.  To date Ken has developed three guitar method books and interactive DVD’s, one of which is tailored specifically to strengthen fine motor control and overall kinesthetic ability in both young students and students with physical and developmental challenges, such as Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Multiple Sclerosis.
Ken holds degrees in both music and psychology, and works in depth with students with autism, Down’s syndrome, and cerebral palsy.  He has lectured on the many benefits guitar education can provide exceptional students and had the honor of sharing these experiences with other guitarists as a lecturer at the Guitar Foundation of America's 2010 international convention in Austin, TX.
In addition to guitar, Ken performs on sitar, mandolin, bass, pedal steel, and is an avid visual artist.  His artwork was featured on the cover of Soundboard’s Spring 2009 issue No. XXXV, No. 2.
